DON'T BE BORING

This is a story about black and white. 

With a pop of color.

Because, sometimes, we get tunnel vision.

We find something that works, and we stick to it.
Always the same old. Never anything new.

Bored, yet not bothered enough to work toward uniqueness.

I recently met up with Vinny (find his Instagram HERE, and his tumblr HERE), a dancer (by way of Minnesota) who currently lives in LA and struggles to call himself a photographer (his work is sick, so I don't know WHY he struggles with this...but I digress).

After meeting up on the West Side, we drove/walked around the area, running into hidden alleyways and exploring marbled office complexes. As always, I was on the hunt for a white wall. Same old. Vinny was more intrigued by said alleyways and a twisting staircase, aka places I would never shoot if given a choice. 

Yet, here we are. These pictures have dark shadows! RED! DOODLES. Shit got wild.

My point is that it's important to step out of your comfort zone every once in a while - to see the world you live in from another person's point of view. We all need a little "refreshing" every once in a while.
